I have a problem with an Intel iMac (17" 1.83)

When I put it to sleep, it behaves strangely. After a while I hear HD noises spinning up and then spinning down again every now and then and sometimes the screen wakes itself for no reason and then sleeps again.

I don't leave any apps running and I turned all my widgets off incase one of them was doing it... what else could it be? I keep hoping Apple will fix it with one of the many Intel OSX updates that I've downloaded, but so far no luck.

It's quite annoying, not least because it has been known to wake me up. :(

Any help anyone can think of would be great....

Could it perhaps be a Bluetooth device waking the machine, or maybe a network connection. In the Energy Saver pane of System Preferences, there are two options to allow modems and ethernet connections to wake a sleeping Mac. Maybe uncheck these. :)
