im selling my mini to my mom, her compaq box is over 4 years old. And im going to upgrade to a intel 17in iMac. Are there any disadvanteges about getting a refurb from teh apple store? i dont mind a few little scratches for the couple hundred off. I heard the aiports are a problem but does 10.4.6 fix it? but anyway will a refurb act just like a new imac?

If you bought it from apple, they should be able to install it but if you bought it from somewhere else, you will need to install it yourself.

Congrats on a fine new machine t1rider321. :) Glad to hear that you got an extra 1GB of RAM to go with it- this should help out performance even more (especially with Rosetta).
