Intel iMac Screen Issues....

    So I decided to play with installing windows via boot camp.... (This is not a boot camp or Microsoft issue)

    and while in windows I can see where the "mac" top bar would go across my screen almost looked to be burned in there. Like a ghost image... and if you look hard, you can see where the airport icon always is, and everything....

    wtf? Do I need a new screen? I didnt think these things burned into like this.

    Screen burn in on LCDs is a little different then CRTs, on a CRT the burn in is permanent but on an LCD if you leave the screen off and unplugged (computer in your case) for about 24-48 hours the burn in will go away. This is what I have been told at least, never noticed any burn in or tried it. And no you do not need a new screen
