internet connection

    at the moment on win XP i use aol dialler to automaically connect me to the internet (via my usb modem) without opening up the stupid aol 9 software.

    when my rev C iMac comes will i be able to use the same "BT voyager 105 USB modem" that aol supplied ALSO more importantly can i have an always on wired connetion for my imac without even having to use aol software as i am sick of aol dialler now! i might be willing to buy additional hardware but it HAS to be wired hardware as wireless doesn't work for a variety of reasons in my house, with the main reason being that in our victorian era house the phonelline is on the ground floor and i am on the third floor and it will be too much buying three airport expresses to extend the range!

    Is upgrading to broadband out of the question?

    Unless specifically stated on AOL, I don't foresee a compatibility problem with you using your old modem on your new iMac.
