iOS 10 has been described by Apple as its biggest iOS update ever, with new features like a total overhaul of the Lock screen, a revamped Messages app that includes its own dedicated App Store, among other improvements, a Siri SDK for developers, a more capable Photos app, a redesigned Apple Music app, and hundreds of other changes, big and small.

In the video below, we've rounded up some of the smaller but still significant changes that have gone largely under the radar, like an easy access "Unsubscribe" button for newsletters in the Mail app, side-by-side Safari multitasking on iPads, Notes collaboration, cross device copy and paste, voicemail transcription, and more.

Over the beta testing period, Apple will undoubtedly introduce refinements to many of the previously announced features, along with tweaks to the interface and new minor features to streamline iOS 10 ahead of its release in the fall. We'll have ongoing coverage of iOS 10 and the other operating system updates unveiled at WWDC -- watchOS 3, macOS Sierra, and tvOS 10.

Don't miss out on our previous videos, which have covered iOS 10 and macOS Sierra features:

- WWDC 2016 Overview in Seven Minutes

- iOS 10's Overhauled Lockscreen

- The New iOS 10 Photos App

- The New iOS 10 Messages App

- Siri on Mac

For full details on all of the new features included in iOS 10, make sure to check out our dedicated iOS 10 roundup.

Many of those were featured in the keynote. How can they be "hidden" features if they were prominently advertised?

Most of these were in the Keynote, how are they hidden?

Garbage article and should be deleted! Split view was specifically on the keynote! Was the author not watching the keynote?

Wow.
First three in.
First three off point.

What a click bait headline. ...

Looks like it caught another mouse.

MR, thanks for vids. They're handy links to send people who didn't watch the keynote.

I realize there are a good number of MacRumors readers who watched the keynote where some of these features were mentioned, but not everyone saw it. If you didn't watch the keynote, these features aren't readily apparent. They're not highlighted on Apple's site and they're not all easy to find in the OS itself.

How does the feature that allows you to view your macOS documents folder and desktop folder work? Does it require syncing those folders to iCloud? Or does it access your mac directly, making your mac a sort of defacto cloud server?

Expected him to do the split-view double panning extravaganza again. Ended up being disappointed. :(

+1 - does this mean that the documents folder is now sync'd to iCloud? Mine is several GBs big so that could be an issue...

I guess it could just be a live live to your mac (if it is on)

It's all uploaded to iCloud if you elect to enable the feature

Still wondering about the "Unsubscribe" feature in Mail: Does it work like a spam filter deleting those mails locally in the future – or does it automatically send a mail with the text "Unsubscribe" (or whatever) to the sender? If last, this obviously will only work when dealing with *respectable* mailing lists – if I use it on junk, the sender probably won't care and, even worse, I'll confirm with the reply that my email address is active...

I really wish there would be more iPad Pro improvements to iOS.

Yeah I was a little surprised we didn't see a few more "pro" features for iPad.

I would actually like to see Apple bring back some Newton gestures like dragging items to the edge of the screen as a placeholder, auto shape recognition, pen gestures, handwriting recognition, etc. to take full advantage of Apple Pencil. A lot of Newton UI was groundbreaking stuff and way ahead of its time.

All their data and caches are removed too. Only the shell of the app remains. If it was just the icon there would be no space savings at all.
All user-generated data (and associated caches). If you never used those apps, they won't have any user-generated data. But if playing to the irrational desires of its users gains Apple some kudos at essentially zero cost, who am I to complain.

There has been speculation that iOS 10.1 (or 10.2) might add some new iPad-specific features. I would also not be surprised if one or two new features do sneak in before the official release of iOS 10. A very simple yet useful feature would be a search option in the slide-over/split-view app picker.

I saw the keynote, but I'm pushing 50 and am lucky to remember where I leave my keys, so this succinct reminder was much appreciated. Thanks MacRumors.

The average consumer doesn't clear up their schedule to watch WWDC on a work day at 1pm and none of these features are on Apple's website.
