Apple today released iOS 10, the next major operating system designed for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iOS 10 has been described as the biggest iOS update ever, with features ranging from an overhauled Lock screen interface to half a dozen new capabilities for the Messages app.

In addition to all the major changes, there are dozens of more minor but still significant tweaks that have been made to the operating system to make it feel entirely new, including individualized read receipts, the ability to hide stock apps, a new Wake Alarm in the Clock app, and more. Below, we've listed some of the most notable changes worth checking out.

I'm enjoying iOS 10 and haven't had any trouble but my wife is having trouble. Constant reboots. Messages doesn't work. Just displays all effects as text. I'm not sure what's wrong. She's mad. :(

Uhhh... so maybe a glitch but you can reply to messages without unlocking or requiring any form of security... I know this was an issue with the BETA, but Im not sure how I feel about anyone being able to just reply to my messages at any time...

Did you check your settings in "Touch ID & Passcode" to make sure that "Reply with Message" is turned off?

You forgot to include streaming iTunes movies/TV shows on cellular data is now possible. It can be turned on in settings

Serious question: if you hide a stock app (e.g., Maps) and have an alternative installed (like Google Maps), will the alternative one run in situations where the stock one would (like selecting an address in Contacts)?

I believe it will still utilize the stock app even though it is hidden. I'm not 100% though.

story says you can delete the itunes store...but FAILS to say how....Who, What, When, Where, How and Way.
[doublepost=1473813018][/doublepost]Since going to the new OS...my icons are 4X the normal size and there is no way to reduce them and Siri says she does not understand...smaller icons.

My icons are now 4x the size....no settings icon anymore....I swear Apple does not check on their updates to see if they create more problems.

Well, I dove in and had no problems updating. Now to spend the next week exploring all the new features.
