Maybe, I don't know. I know I've seen that with the old "iPod" icon before and just noticed that version today.
IIRC I signed up on Apple's site to be notified. However, I expect to see it in this forum first followed closely on the Front Page.
As the others, I am very excited about this release and also about iTunes Match.

Yeah. 10.7.2 will likely be out today as well. It actually probably makes sense to update to that first and then iOS.

Same here, except updates for apps keeping on popping up on the AppStore, so I'm downloading/installing/backing up as fast as I can lol
Oh man, just tried downloading an update for an app and it says itunes terms and conditions have changed. Could we just be minutes away?!?!

I've connected my mac to the router with an ethernet cable instead of Wifi to be sure to have the fastest speed on the network. Disabled all wifi devices in my home to disable any jitter
