All, Since the release of iOS 6, there have been plenty of complaints about how iOS handles deleted contacts. Normally when a contact is deleted, one would expect them to be entirely deleted off of the phone. However, currently, if even one text is sent to a saved contact, it becomes part of the cache in the phone, specifically in Messages. They still show up in the Messages autocomplete suggestions with their deleted phone number listed as "other" and all related results still load up in Spotlight. Currently, only a fresh restore as new fixes this. This is a pain when someone gets a new number or you want to delete a contact. Apple is either clueless or entirely unhelpful about this matter. Can anyone test this behavior in iOS 7? I'm hoping that the contacts are gone for good in this release rather than being saved. I love iOS but this is one of the most infuriating bugs yet. Many thanks in advance!
