Me!! Even though I probably can't leave work until 5... My office is about 15 mins away from KoP so I'm hoping I can cut out at 4:45.

I'll be there. This is my first Apple product launch giant-line-of-doom experience. xD

I imagine that as there are no longer personal shopping appointments in place, and no pre-orders are available, that the line will be even more massive than what I have heard of years past. Since they will not actually be sold until 5 PM, what time do you guys plan on arriving? I'm trying to decide on whether I should take the day off work or not... and how early to arrive in the morning. I live pretty close by, just a quick hop on 202 - but I don't want to get stuck in the back of the line because I waited too long :p

I'm gonna try and get of work and head over around 3:00 or 3:30. It's pretty stupid they are waiting to start selling them until 5 pm.

What time are you heading down? I'm not really sure when to go and if there will even be a line...

The earliest I can be there is around 3:00-3:30. I'm not TOO worried, because I'm going for a 64 GB 3G, which hopefully shouldn't sell out. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the line isn't even horrendous. I'm expecting a sizable line, but not some monster behemoth thing lol...

My school's on break and we're bussing in the whole Mac user group around 1:30. Should be a ton of fun! I did a little informal poll, so far it looks like

    12 16gb WiFi
    2 16 3g
    4 32 wifi
    2 32 3g
    21 64gb 3G

Note to self: Arrive before the bus. :D

I'll probably get there around noon to scope out the early birds and possibly take my place by 1-2pm. Anyone from the front of the line for WiFi iPad 1 going?

edit: Trouser Cough, which school are you guys coming from if you don't mind my asking? I'm headed to KoP from West Chester University. (After debating heading to Delaware to avoid tax)

So what time is everyone arriving? I'm thinking 1pm right now, but I have the whole day off and absolutely nothing else to do so I might end up getting there earlier.

Anyone? Maybe we can get some line status reports soon.

    line status

just passed the store... things look pretty usual, with the exception of some scouters wondering if the iPad has been put out early. I was at KOP for the launch of the iPad 1, and there really wasn't much of a line then either... longer than usual, but it wasn't even out the door. I'd expect that getting the 2 shouldn't be too hard for us.

Looks like the line is started to form.

I decided against the bus and abandoned my apple brethren :) They'll have a fun surprise when they arrive this afternoon! Hope there's at least a 32g wifi left for them to fight over:D

I'd estimate about 50 people in line at this point.

Buddy of mine has a girlfriend who works at Urban Outfitters at the square. Apparently there are over 40 queued already

Oh well. I guess I'll just decide at 4 when I leave work. I wish I could leave sooner, but it's my boss' birthday and I organized a partay a long time ago. :(

Trouser Cough, is that a recent picture?

Looks like the people there are in summer wear when it is pretty chilly outside today. Are you trying to keep us away?

The picture is labeled "KOP IPhone Lines" or something like that, so yes, fake...not to say there isn't a line or anything, but that isn't a picture from today.

Anyone know what it looks like at the Best Buy across the street right now?

I'm getting out of work in an hour or so and am hoping to hop in line there instead since the Apple Store is most likely going to get decimated.

Also...what respectable Apple nut would need a 3G model at all? Your iPhone just got updated to 4.3 and it supports personal hotspot!!! Anyone clinging to their unlimited plans for dear life are just kidding themselves into thinking it'll last forever. Switch to the 4GB tethering plan and join the future!

Who wants multiple data contracts?! Yuck...

meh, it's about 50 out, more than enough for the KoP sluts to don their skimp suits.

I thought about the tethering, but I really don't want to loose my unlimited. I've gone above 5gigs on occasion, and it's just sheer convenience.
