iPad: Connect to iTunes?

    Anyone else here have problems with their iPad 1?
    I'm stuck on the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
    No matter what I do, I can't get past this screen.
    Trying to restore from iTunes backup and nothing.
    Should I just set up as new and then sync up all the apps?

    My original iPad is stuck there too. I'm still connected to iTunes and it has been at 'Verifying iPad restore with Apple' for an hour or so. Every once in a while the iPad restarts and goes back to the connect to iTunes screen. I'm guessing the servers are still slammed but i'm tempted to disconnect and reconnect the iPad. I have no way to tell if it's actually retrying or not. :confused:

    Not sure what the problem was.
    Ended up setting up as new and that did the trick.
    All my apps and pics remained, as did my wallpaper.
    Not sure what the difference is between setting up as new vs restore from backup but I'll take it.
