Is it known if UK stores will have any to buy on 31st?

I didn't pre order as just moving flat this week and easier for me to pop to the local Apple Store after work, but just realised probably might not have any in, or that they might run out by 6pm.

Any suggestions or ideas on what the best way is?

They should have stock in all UK stores.
I just cancelled my iPad order to buy one in store on Thursday.
Best way is probably to go before work. I'm suggesting this, because if you want one of the more common sizes 32 & 128gb and want a certain colour, it's more likely to be sold out in the evening.
I don't know where in the UK you are, but I'd assume that it also would be harder to buy one in London, if it's past 6pm.

Does anyone know, if the stores will open earlier on Thursday or is it just normal opening times?

Try John Lewis tonight at 8pm Shandyman, as they are taking preorders for collection in store on the 31st :)

You may find this a better option.

Just talked to someone on chat. He assumed normal store times as well, but mentioned that it will get extremely busy because of the iPhone SE :D
Personally, I don't think it will be too bad.

All depends on the store to be honest, the closest one to me gets pretty busy.

I personally think you'll be able to walk in and buy the IPP (9.7)

I've seen some longer queues for iPhones before, but I'm just not sure, if a lot of people will be interested in the iPhone se. Hopefully they'll have two queues, so I don't have to wait for ages.

I will try to buy it in store as well. It's a shame one cannot pre-order to pick up in store
Maybe they do it to keep queues to a minimum? I honestly don't know why they wouldn't do it. We could've easily preordered them on the 24th and select pick up :-/

The reason I want to pick up in store, is that I was burned before being sent a defective unit and then struggling to justify that it was defective before. If I'm in store I can open an iPad and verify that everything is fine with it

Wow, yeah, that sounds very smart to me. I'll ask to have a look at mine as well then.

I always pick up in store. I did try on line with the AW and had three faulty units. At least in store you can check the device before leaving. I am working on thursday and have meetings first thing so getting to my nearest store first thing in the morning is going to be a challenge and i may have to wait until the evening. I hoping that the online store status will change on thursday to allow reserve in store.

Thanks all!

I'm aiming for 128Gb space grey. I can't buy it until tomorrow, as get paid then with my bonus, so a treat to myself.

Apparently the Apple Store app is allowing purchase with instore pickup tomorrow. Might try that in the morning. My local is Reading, not sure it will be slammed, but purely guessing.

Actually I can't for some reason there's no way to select the pickup radio button

I dont think that reserve in store will be available for a few weeks. I will chance my arm at my local store mid-morning and if they dont have the spec i want in stock then i will have to order on line

I've discovered the Currys PC World near my work are meant to be stocking it, but it's not open til 10, so chancing that on my lunch break, if no luck, I'm trying the Apple Store app for pickup after work.
