The digitizer and LCD are fused together for your iPhone. You cannot replace them separately. Look for a different part that includes both. They are around $25-30 on ebay.

I would recommend going to an Apple Store and getting an out of warranty replacement. It's more expensive than a new screen, but:
    - You can be certain that all the parts are 100% original (there are no OEM parts on eBay, everything is aftermarket, replacement screens are of inferior quality)
    - You don't have to repair the phone yourself, it's a hassle and if you're doing it for the first time, chances are you'll break something else. Every part is small (and therefore fragile) and easy to break.

Buy the screen + digitizer as one package.

Also, good luck with your project, I hope all goes well.

Judging by the ifixit guides, the iPhone 5 screen is insanely easy to fix compared to the iPhone 4/4S seeing as the screen is the first thing to come off on an iPhone 5.

Definitely avoid buying the digitizer glass and the LCD separate. There are tons of sellers who sell just the digitizer, and that is just to make more money off of buyers who don't really know about repairs.

The LCD assembly and the digitizer are fused together during manufacturing with a high strength adhesive. Even if you were to successfully separate the two, it would leave your LCD scratched and scuffed (if not broken.) The LCD of an iPhone is SUPER fragile, and any little amount of pressure can cause damage to your LCD, and render it useless. Avoid buying just the digitizer glass like the plague!

I believe someone posted above about buying a replacement screen for $25-$30. That is why the quality is so inferior. When it comes to buying a replacement screen, you get what you pay for. The cheap screens often have dead pixels, LCD's with a blue tint, and are overall just crappy.

    Isn't a replacement 4S through Apple 100? Or is it 150?

An out of warranty replacement of a 4S is $200 from Apple.
