Anyone else having a slight case of buyers remorse with the Galaxy S4 just around the corner? Octo-core (that's 8 freaking cores Tim)...A new Exynos-branded ARM A15-based SoC... 5-inch full HD 1920x1080 pixel display that’ll pack in a staggering pixel density of 441ppi...removable battery, Google Maps not iLost.

Look, I'm a fanboi...but even I have to admit the obvious; The Galaxy S3 ripped a new ****** in the iPhone 4S and knowing Samsung, it will rip another ****** in the iPhone 5. *Confused* :(

For now, right. So am I. But in 3 months will you feel the same? I don't want to have colleagues laugh at me in 3-4 months as they did when the S3 came out.

Keep in mind those are just rumors. Also The 4S was nearing the end of its cycle and everyone knew the 5 was coming out in a few months. That's why the galaxy beat it. I'm not saying the galaxy is a bad phone, it's really good but look what happened when a the 5 came out. Galaxy was only out for about 3 months before the 5 came out then their sales dropped and now the iPhone is king again.

Having people laugh at me because I own an iPhone 5 is the last things I am worried about.

Why would anyone laugh at you having the iPhone 5? Also if you try to keep up with the latest and greatest in technology you will always be disappointed. Ok so you wait for the S4 because you want the latest phone with the best specs and then what? One month later a better phone is out and your depressed again. That can get very expensive.

The S3 hardy "ripped the 4S a new one". In fact, IMO the S3 is terrible, and doesn't come close to iPhone. It's a total piece of plastic junk.

    Octo-cores and it'll still lag.

I had buyer's remorse until I sold it and got a Galaxy Note 2.

I wish I had waited for the 5S

The S4 sounds like a kid designed it, 8 cores? if PC only received 8 cores within this year, why is it even needed? especially when 2 core laptops and PCs still embarrass touch pads.

441ppi= cant tell the difference over 320PPI, which is why the iPhone 4 had a retina display

after reading the above.... so who will win the ability to advertise "S" and "5" together...... anyone think apple already has it covered or will Samsung win causing the next iPhone to be renamed.......

I am actually completely satisfied. The only thing I could nitpick is I bought a white iPhone again because I want my phone to stay as flawless as possible for future resale value. But it still looks great to me so... yeah, pretty happy.

iOS is still the most user friendly and beautiful phone OS available. Android looks absolutely terrible to me. I don't care what's inside my phone, I care about what I see and get to use. iP5 is fast enough for me so I don't give half a **** about having 8 cores vs 2.

i bought it, therefore i got no choice but to love it. i come from an indian family, i had an arranged wedding, eventually i ended up falling in love with my wife. same thing with the iphone 5, even though theres a lot of problem with it, i have no choice but to love it and live with it for all its problems.

    S5: 16 cores (rumored)
    S6: 32 cores (rumored)
    S7: cures cancer (rumored)

You should throw away your iPhone now!;)

If you agree with that then it's hard to see why you want anything to do with Apple since you obviously don't "get it" .. noted by wanting removable battery and a 5 inch screen on your telephone

Also if you think any ARM SoC is going to beat the full custom A6 design then you are living in a cave. Nothing is going to beat that chip for quite a while, and by then I'm sure Apple's next hugely funded A7 custom design will be hitting.

What makes you think 8 cores is necessarily better?

I'm sure Apple or any other OEM for that matter could shoehorn a quad-core Intel i7 processor clocked at 3.2 Ghz in to a phone.

Would be great for heat and battery life to though right?

Exactly, there's always going to be another phone with better specs. With that said, I've come to learn that specs only look good on paper.

For instance, Galaxy Note 2, despite having a quad-core processor, speed tests (benchmarks, browser benchmarks, etc.) showed that iPhone 5 almost kept up or even outperformed it in some instances. Here's a comparison video of the two: http://youtu.be/t9uJKD2ETlA

Anyways, no buyer's remorse for me. I had a chance to choose from iPhone 5, Galaxy S3, and Galaxy Note 2. All excellent phones in their own right. In the end, I went with the iPhone. And very happy that I did. :)

Im perfectly happy with my i5.
    No buyers remorse at all.
And I dont care what others think or use.
Im happy with my device and it works perfect for what I want it for.
We dont all have the same needs or uses for things so we cant all like the same thing. Its good to have options and if others are happy with another phone then Im happy for them.

    LOL! #
I mean seriously though at some point in time all this talk about cores is not going to matter. Im fine with my ip5 and I guarantee it will still do things faster than the s4 regardless of how many cores it has.

    No buyers remorse at all.

This is the fastest phone I have ever used at everyday tasks. In fact, coupled with Verizon LTE, some things seems damn near instant.

Also, This screen is absolutely beautiful .
