I was fortunate enough to receive an iPhone for Christmas, and it has been working brilliantly so far. Except that when I plug it into the wall adaptor, it will charge for a few minutes, the stop charging, then start again in intervals of about 6 seconds. Does anyone have a way to fix this issue? Also, it works fine with my brothers adapter, and with other third party USB adapters. It's just the apple one that came in the box.

The adapter is probably faulty, it happens. You're still in the warranty period so just call or visit an Apple store. They'll take care of it.

If you dont have an Apple store within 50 miles, just call Apple and tell them your issue. They will send you a new adaptor. Dont even worry about setting up apple store appointment.
