iPhone 6s to only have 1GB of RAM?!!!

If that's real.....I am moving to Android.
NO WAY am I spending $650+ on a late 2015 phone with only 1GB of RAM...

Agreed, 1GB of RAM would be an absolutely epic fail. The 6+ should really have had 2gb to start with...
I am running iOS 9 on my iPhone 6 and it works great, so despite the fact that more RAM will improve multitasking and tab reloading, if Apple decides to stay with 1GB of RAM, it won't be the end of the world..
According to tech radar and from memory, the iPhone 6 Plus is known as the iPhone 7,1 and the iPhone 6 the iPhone 7,2. The image shown is iPhone 8,2 which if history repeats itself will be officially named the 4.7" iPhone 6S with 2Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM, while the 5.5" iPhone 6S Plus codenamed "iPhone 8,1" will have an unknown Ghz processor and unknown RAM. This image is not fake, it is real however as stated before if Apple is using the same code names, this is in fact the 4.7 iPhone 6S NOT the iPhone 6S Plus.

Fake. No way could someone have an iPhone 6s outside of Apple. And I highly doubt anyone with access to a 6s in Apple would be posting geekbench scores on Instagram.
I just cannot imagine why Apple would not upgrade the RAM to 2 GB. I sincerely hope this is a fake, albeit a well-done one.
Apple is marking the separation between its 4.7" model and 5.5" model for the first time. The 6S will receive everything the 6S Plus receives with the exception of 2GB of RAM.
I don't believe this for a second, considering all the new multitasking options that are only available on the 2gb Ipad air 2 (and none of the other 1gb devices)
The 1GB iPads are given split view. The 2GB iPad Air 2 has both split view and split screen multitasking.
Could someone explain what's so bad about 1GB of RAM? I see this a lot on here, but surely if the iPhone runs ok, does it matter? Surely Apple would make sure the phone has adequate memory? Is there any down side to having 2GB RAM? Like using more battery?
The benefits to two 2gb of ram are fewer safari tab reloads, app reloads and more time an app in the app switcher remains in ram so it can launch quicker.(this would save battery) Oh and future "features" that may come out that could require more ram (iPad Air 2 split screen being the first feature locked to an amount of ram.)
I cant keep TWO tabs open on my 6 plus without one reloading.
I mostly only miss it while having multiple tabs open in Safari, because of the lack of Ram they have to load every time and are not stored in memory.

There is nothing wrong with 1GB of RAM. My iPhone 6 Plus runs very well. However for the mainstream the issue/ complaints lies with Safari and "app reloading issues" when multitasking. If the user has 10 tabs open in safari, the pages will auto reload instead of retaining in present state, same is said for app switching. For others like myself we looked at what the iOS 9 brought to the iPad Air with 2GB of RAM and are now praying to the Apple Gods that they include similar - same multitasking abilities on the larger 5.5" iPhone 6S Plus.
Not too mention that other phone makers are putting upwards of 3GB's into their phones by now
Other phones need to put 3-4gb of ram because Android is a resource pig and requires it to even run as smooth as iOS with 1-2gb.
Honestly, this seems fake to me. The guy's Twitter is tweeting every single news fact of Apple. Also, he stated to be running an internal beta of iOS 9 and posted a screenshot of the update screen with the iOS 8 descriptive text on it ("This update is the biggest release since the launch of the App Store"). This guy is a fake.

4gb if you consider Samsung's Note series in the same class as Apples Plus series (assuming it will be a series).
There are those who know what a critical issue this is for some people and also know how many clicks and posts people will make in response.

As I stated in another forum the other day, I have a 2012 Nexus 7 that is basically dead in the water slow, and an Ipad mini 3. Both have just about the same specs, but my Ipad FLY'S with the latest firmware installed.
