iPhoto auto start cancel

    Could someone tell me how to stop iPhoto starting up when I plug in a camera. Thanks.

    Couldn't see it in there which is why I'm asking

    Bizarrely, it's in Image Capture's Preferences. Open up Image Capture (in the Applications folder), head to the Preferences and there should be a drop down list with iPhoto selected. You can opt to have a different app or even no app at all from this list. :)

    THANK YOU MAD JEW!!! I've been fighting with this for a friggin' month now and I finally got the motivation to come on here and search for the answer.

    Thx man, this is great, no more annoying iPhoto when I insert an SD card :)
