I have a used five gigabyte iPod first generation for sale. Please understand that it is not in working order. I attribute the problem to a dead/overused battery and nothing else - if you replace the battery the item should work perfectly, but I can't guarantee this because I don't have the time or money to spend repairing it. The only other known problem is what I call "cosmetic damage".

For a used product, this looks pretty good, but as you know the iPod's case facilitiates minor scratches and dings that are just part of life as an iPod owner. This item does not come with any accessories, but I do have the original box (remember, this is an open box). I am ONLY giving you the five gigabyte iPod.

If you would like this item for parts or intend to repair it (repair cost is not going to be immense, it's just a battery as far as I know, and I have no reason to believe that anything else is a problem - unit works fine when plugged in) I am more than glad to sell it to you if you live in the continental United States.

I am asking around $60 for this, but that is negotiable. Buyer pays shipping which will be by USPS at a flat fee of $8 unless you'd like it shipped in another manner. I can accept PayPal or a personal check, but personal checks take a while to clear, so if you're in a rush, I'd recommend PayPal.

I am fully willing to answer any questions regarding this unit. Please remember that while I am relatively sure this will work with a battery replacement, I am selling the item as is and do not guarantee it - again, this is JUST the unit and its original box with NO accessories.

Happy bidding/negotiating, and you can also contact me via AIM - I will give that out if you PM me. I'll be checking this thread regularly. Hope to hear from you.

    ---Sam

Excellent - 60 it is, sir.

Pleasure to do business with you.

If you buy it tomorrow, and pay for it through PayPal, it's yours. If not, I'll still give it to someone else for 60. Unless there is a higher bid, this belongs to you.

Doesn't it suck that all Apple products don't keep the same value as the computers?

It does, but I'd be happy with the amount I listed on this item. Are you interested?

I'm thrilled that you were able to make it work and received the item and are happy. Great customer. A+++++ as they say on eBay.
