Woah!!! thats like crazy
wow! that must have cost a ton let alone a ton of time. Even the stairs...that is just crazy....very very cool!
Talk about beating a brand into your head! That comes pretty close to overkill.
I WANT THOSE stairs
Hah, I'll take those stairs...
I wish we had something like that where I live, I wouldn't mind having an area totally devoted to iPods
the same in Europe
Look here for the adverts in Paris or in Amsterdam, quite amazing too.
I love waiting in that station with my brand new 15G iPod. It's too bad they haven't caught on quite as fast in Canada as they have across the US. When i first got it I was showing it off to friends (of course) and some had no idea what it was! They put the ads at the St. George station since it is the most used one on the Toronto subway system and it's also right beside the University of Toronto.
OK, so you throw your iPod into one of those bins. Who gets it then?
OK I've got it
I think I've figured out why Apple is doing this like crazy in these places now. If you remember, the iPod was fairly popular before the iTunes Music Store, and it's partly because of the iPod that the store is doing so well. So my theory is that before Apple makes the iTMS available in these countries, they're going to flood them with iPod ads to get people to buy iPods so that when the store finally arrives they'll have a large base to build off of!
Just my 2¢.
Wow, that makes me want to live in Toronto even more! Too cool, lucky Torontoites, er, Torontarians? Torontoers?
Man that rocks! I wish something like that was done over here on the West Coast. I really am amazed at how many people I know still don't have a clue what an iPod really is.Go Apple and branding!
I feel lucky to live in Toronto!
Hah! I am quite happy to live in Toronto. The station was like this for a few weeks. I am surprised the news got out so slowly. Personally I liked it (even though I don't have an iPod and am not considering one).
I think that's a pretty safe assumption. If Apple ever rangles out the liscensing issues in Canada we'll see your theory come to fruition.
This rumor is rather old...
That level of marketing was never really used in the US.. I remember the subway signs in New York for the ipod... but nothing that crazy. very cool indeed.
Apple is the king of marketing.
Other stations like that
I read somewhere that there are iPod rail stations like that elsewhere, too, like Montreal, France, and UK.
