    cool, but how functional

how about someone design a case thats utilitarian (spelling ?) rather than just covered in some sort of jewel

summer time is coming, and the 50 things i carried in my coat pockets (ipod, cell phone, wallet, headphones, etc... ) will all need to be displaced into my pants pockets and laptop bag, which does come with me all the time, but to big to carry smaller items in

id like a ipod case, that maybe on the back, instead of jewels, could hold my cell phone

maybe my liscense and 2 of my most frequently used credit cards ( i rarely use cash)

maybe on the side, a place for a pen (which i need all the time)

or apple could just dev a GSM phone with the microdrive and a cell phone in it, we can move to RFID for personal identification, linked to my banks so i can just carry 1 device and do everything

yes yes, being tracked by the government with RFID, etc... a: if u think ur not being tracked now, ur nieve, and b: if someone stoll ur wallet (mine anyways) id be screwed anyways, let alone out a ipod and a phone.

    ... i can dream i guess.

    my 2 cents

If you made it, i'd buy it!!

Even if I won the lottery, i would never spend huge amounts on cases with jewels - infact the case that came with my ipod and v3 razr just sits in the box, I don't like cases - they get in the way...!

Not very. That's the thing about style, sometimes it's a sacrifice of function.

Sounds pretty much as a purse :p
I have the same problem. I used to carry around a backpack before, but it was too inconvenient in the city. Now I have a messenger bag which is a bit more practical. Besides from paper work, it is always filled with cellphones, wallet, keys, iPod, camera... I look like a seriously lost sherpa. If I were to add a laptop too, I might just as well get a dolly.
