I have a 160GB iPod Classic that has the iTunes 1439 error. I did some looking and read that several people have had good results fixing the HDD with DiskWarrior. The iPod can enter Disk Mode, but all of my Macs have a hard time recognizing it.

Disk Utility Sees it as - 12 KB Apple iPod Media

DiskWarrior will not even recognize it. And Disk Utility will not let me do anything with it. What gives?

I just plugged it back in, and Disk Utility claims it has a 16 TB HDD:rolleyes: . Still will not let me do anything but verify the drive.

sounds like a dead / dying hard drive. not much you can do, other than try to replace the drive or the ipod.

I was really hoping someone would have a trick to get disk warrior to recognize it. Oh well.

you might be able to recognize it by trial and error, but its a task in futility at this point.
