i've had my ipod classic since last xmas
in the last week its suddenly turned faulty, i've restored it 4 times now and it still seems to be courrpting a short time after the restore, it freezes wen transfering music and files from my pc and wen i eject it, it resets itself and goes corupt again. the harddrive itself seems to making clicking noises from time to time which it has never dun before, so i want to get a replacement.
my father bought it from amazon, so should i return it to amazon or apple?
does my 1 year warranty with apple still stand or not?
i've looked at the amazon returns section on their website and their returns policy on faulty goods is only 30 days after purchase, it also says that if it is past 30 days i should phone amazon to see weather i can return it.

i'd rather deal with apple as i've heard good reports from people about getting replacement ipods.
any help would be mighty helpful
    thank you

    It's probably the hard drive.

Call Apple up and see what they say.

Go to the Genius Bar.. and speak to a Genius about the issue. He'll most likely just swap out the iPod on spot if he finds something wrong with it. If you want yo go with extra protection, take your Amazon sales receipt just to show if they make a fuss... but they wont. :D
