As an eBay seller who has had problems with "real issues" with selling and buying on eBay ... this is upsetting ... wasting ebay's time and a cheap attempt for publicity.

This was the perfect SNL skit that didn't go too far as most do ... now ... it's almost ruined for me.

I reported the listing for a listing violation: selling an invisible item.

Might be funny, but the guy will get in trouble for registering a website address with "ipod" in it (see the eBay listing).

I want to know who in their right mind actually bidded on this joke. (Apparently, there are 12 suckers, and at least one gullible enough to bid $50.)

For the very reason you looked ... I thought about bidding in the auction myself ... if nothing; for publicity ... so people would be curious as to why someone with my high feedback rating would bid in such an auction ... then maybe they would be curious and see what Apple stuff I'm selling

I bid in just about all high profile, hit whoriing auctions for that very reason.

Well, technically not looking at all is equivalent.

Wow. I can't believe people are bidding on this. Half of them probably did it for the joke, but I am willing to bet that somebody actually thinks this is real. So sad, yet hilarious :p

It said on the auction that you are bidding on an envelope with a free ipod invisa. People should realize the ipod invisa is nothing. But the people who are bidding probably want to tell their friends they bought an ipod invisa.

Latest update: If the bidding passes $125, he'll throw in a 512M shuffle.

Still insane, since MSRP is $100, but better than an empty envelope.

I would have actually bid on it as a joke if it weren't for the fear that I would have won and had to pay the $15 shipping of an envelope full of air.

Although, I see I would have been outbid anyway ;)

Another ebay listing violation ... you can't offer bid incentives.

I believe the auction has been cancelled ... but he has relisted 3 for sale now.
