Is this true? It seems a little hard to believe... Especially because didn't they say the iPod had lost marketshare because of a rise in flash-based players?

Combined hPod/iPod share in the HD player space was about the same (down like 1% from the prior month).

At the same time, flash sales have been rising faster than HD player sales, so Apple share of the overall market goes down from 65.8 to 58.6%.

These numbers are acknowledged to be incomplete: "Figures are based on retail sales and do not include sales from Apple online store operation. Also, because Dell does not sell its portable media players through retail stores but only online, Dell's products are not included in the market share results."
