    Hi guys,

I am thinking about getting a nano 2G 2gb iPod. Just wanted to know if/when the battery dies is it replaceable?

If so how much does a new battery cost and how hard is it to install?

    Thanks!

I've not seen replacement batteries for the 2G nano yet. Most previous iPods have had replacement batteries made available after market, but none of them are official. The battery is not designed to be replaced (although it is doable with varying degrees of difficulty depending on the model) by the end user.

You should get several years out of the battery in there if you treat the iPod well.

If the Nano is built the same way as an iPod Mini, I would imagine it would be very difficult to change the battery because it is so thin.

Like mrgreen4242 said, you should get quite a few years out of your iPod.
