I got a bit overexcited when I unboxed my 2nd gen Nano, and now I can't for the life of me remember how the 'cable tidy' clip on the end of the USB cable is meant to work. If I use the kinks in the cable left from when it was wound up in the box as an indicator of how it was packaged, I can't fit all the doubled-up lengths of cable into the tidy.

I've probably got this all wrong. It's a remarkably stupid question. BUT I DEMAND AN ANSWER

I don't have an answer, but I have a question. What are you talking about?

That's not really a cable clip, it's just there to protect the USB connector in shipping. it's not meant to be used as a cable "tidy" as you call it.
