iPod Shuffle called "Scooter"

I'm on Apple's sales training website right now taking some courses and in the "iPod Family - Quickstart" course it calls the iPod Shuffle "Scooter". I thought that was really weird.

I wonder if that was it's code name during development....

sounds like it could of been its code name while it was in production, and those articles might of been typed up before the name was finalized.
