I'm stuck between deciding on a 16GB iPod nano or a 4GB Shuffle. If I get the nano I'd fill all the extra space with video and pictures. (I had a 3G nano and didn't mind the small screen.)

Also, I don't have much music, but my library is growing. (I have 2.35 GB of music.)

So my question is, when you sync a shuffle, does it also sync album art, text, and visual features? I ask this because I might be about to get a 2GB shuffle instead.

It would be really cool if iTunes was smart enough to not sync unneeded data.

    Thanks!

Why would it sync the stuff?

If you can afford the nano, just get it. TBH they don't really compare. I love my talkingShuffle but I would much prefer a new nano.

All the extras (album art, lyrics, info...) are all part of one file. So the shuffle may be actually syncing it, it just cannot be seen.

But if the shuffle didn't sync it, it would free up more space for more songs.

Well I know that you can turn off album art syncing on iPods with screens, so I am sure that iTunes has a way of splicing the data.

That answers my question! Thank you!

(Every one of my songs had album art, I'm a bit CDO about that..)
