I can higher the volume but I cant lower it. Im also experiencing the glitch wherein when you slide the slider to highest sound, it slides down back.

    Is it somehow connected?
Because even how much I push the down volume button, the volume wont go lower. :(

Go to Settings > Sounds > Change with buttons
If it doesn't work, exchange it with a new one.

Before you bring it back, try restoring it in iTunes. The slider problem is a software issue which might be corrected with a restore. The volume button seems more like a physical hardware problem, but you never know.

Either way, before an Apple Store lets you return an iPod, they always ask if you tried a Restore yet. This way you can say you did already and skip that song and dance.

When I turn it off for like 5 minutes, then turn it on, the up and down button works fine then after 20 secs, the volume goes down again and the down button is not working again.

I've tried the restore 1 time but still the same thing. X(
