Today only at Target the iPod Touch is 20 percent off. If you place your order via the online site (you can still choose store pickup) put in the promo code LIST and it will deduct another 10 percent off. So the 200 dollar Touch I had my eye on for jogging is now 151 dollars after taxes. Pretty good deal imo.

I just bought a 32GB 6th gen for $170.31 plus tax after an additional 5% off using their Target Redcard. Great deal!

Wow. That says a lot about how well the iPod Touch is selling, and also how little it costs to make and sustain healthy profit margins, suggesting it wouldn't take much more to build an iPHone based on the same configuration .

Thanks for the heads-up. Glad I checked the forum today. Just ordered a 64 GB in Slate Gray - $216 plus tax with free shipping. This has been on my "to do" list since the battery on my 5G is getting weak. Thanks again!

I remember getting one of the IpT's for $170 on Amazon (3rd through 5th). This is even better! Even nicer to have a shipping option as I no longer live near a Target! However, I'm still peeved about it having a mere 4" screen, I've already spent $800 on electronics this year, and even though my IpT5 has noticeably shorter battery life then when I had it 2 years ago, it's still manageable.

I hear Apple gets about $400 profit per Iphone sold. The profits there far exceed what they get on the IpT side of things.

On a related note, in the UK, Currys is selling the blue iPod touch for £119 at the moment (down from £159). This is the cheapest I've seen it.

They had the space grey version at the same price last week so I don't know how long this will last.
