I'm new at this, so bear with me if I do or ask something stupid.

I have a 4th gen 20 gig ipod. I just recently added several thousand songs onto itunes. It is about 37 gigs with more on the way. I have set up a new playlist with just the songs I want on the ipod. , about 17 gigs worth. How do I go about clearing what was on the ipod and adding the playlist?

connect the ipod to the computer. if it tries to update the songs automatically, it will say you don't have enough room on the ipod. this is to be expected. with the ipod connected, go to 'preferences' from the 'itunes' menu and select the 'ipod' tab. from there, select the manually manage songs on ipod option. then, you should be able to drag your playlist of songs directly onto your ipod in itunes.

Purchase a tape to 1/8 mini-jack adaptor.
Either that or [if your car sterio has RCA in] purchase an RCA (the red and white plugie things) to 1/8 mini-jack.
