I guess if you live in a closed society thats ran by anti jewish religious zealots then perhaps you havent heard of the holocaust.

On a side note The palastinians should have their own state.

Disturbingly enough, they do bring up an interesting point. Wouldn't looking at the Holocaust critically perhaps being greater attention to the many other victims of the Holocaust? After all - if 50 million were victims, that means there are a lot of people we don't talk about.

That being said - why are the Palestinians paying for the Holocaust rather than Bavarians who actually did the deed or the West that waited so long to act (I know we've discussed it, I'm just saying...).

That being said - I do think there are many better counters to this than to call it the greatest crime in the history of civilization. I think the multitude more victims of the Khmer Rouge, Stalin, colonization, slavery, Christian conquest, Roman conquest, and Hebraic (this was before Israel and Judah split - and why is it called Israel, not Judah) conquest (to name a few) would beg to differ.

    Just some questions...

Israel is where it is because of the long jewish history in that region.

Isn't this a lot like Bob Jones University holding a conference on evolution?

Now that was cool, it's interesting to see that except for the Mongol Empire, everyone has held Jerusalem, and the Mongols were on their way there, but were defeated near Aleppo in 1299.

This, I would think, would limit the ability of any one group to lay claim over the area since it's been shared by so many different groups. Do the Greeks have the same claim as the Persians?

I was thinking the same thing, does anyone think the conference will dispute the beliefs of the current PM?

I believe they should both have a state. They both have a right to exist. But at their current rate, neither will soon, and it will be their own fault. Not that some of us haven't made things worse as well, again, on both sides.

So rather than share the holy land, let's blow all of it up and blame the other side.

So by your logic, as I'm Anglo-Saxon I'm quite entitled to invade and create a country in Western Poland.

As for the Native Americans, of course, they have a right to the entire continent of North America and a lot of northeast Asia. Interesting times ahead.

No you misheard that your Government was sending all your money to the Indians, which is quite true.

    And the Chinese of course.

The BBC article says that David Duke is to deliver a paper. Does anything else need to be said? Perhaps only to say once again that Ahmadinejad is an anti-semitic buffoon, thankfully one with little power if one with a very loud voice. Let's figure out how to support a few more sensible and less bigoted voices in the region. Oh, and yes, we still shouldn't invade Iran.

I always wonder how newsreaders can keep a straight face, what with the scripts they're expected to read.
