As we have the Dashboard, will Sherlock become obsolete by it?
No movie widget yet.
Normally do not do this, but it is still recent and has been discussed here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=120256
Oh really. Try this link (http://www.dashboarddev.com/showcase/details.php?wid=71) and you'll see that you are wrong.
Do you use that?
Nice in concept, pretty bad in execution, has been marginalized since os 8!
Think most of the widgets seem to replace it's best functions, so we'll see. No mention of it on the tiger page, so maybe Sherlock has been murdered himelf!
I thought apple had stopped making sherlock...i never use it. I have just opended it for the first time ever on my computer
i just use Finder to find everything on my mac and yahoo!/google off my mac.
I use sherlock for the phonebook and movie times.
i dont see why i would use sherlock anymore when i can get the same tolls on my screen at the press of a buttons and they work in real time.
yes dashboard will make sherlock redundant. seeing that dashboard is far more versatile.
sherlock is going away, i actualy trashed it when i set up OS X on my powerbook along with IE
sherlock will be in tiger.. look here and its under apps
yeah but that doesnt mean that it isnt being phased out to make way for dashboard instead
That's a great link, thanks for posting it.
Are they still including IE? gag me.
IE came with panther still, but its not on the list of included apps with tiger, about time, i hate that browser so much.....
That looks nice, but it's not what BornAgainMac was talking about. Sherlock lets you look up movie times for theaters in your area, as well as watch previews all within the app. Unless I'm mistaken, the widget you linked to just plays Quicktime files.
Apple didn't list Panther as having IE here, but it did. Hopefully Tiger won't have it though.
