I just finished reading this over at Appleinsider but I would like to add that I like the Apple Intel add pretty much inserted into the article itself.

Will this rule out the complaints people make about Macs being over priced?

I think Apple knows it's gonna have to lose some money with this Intel Switch... Think about it. On atop of $898, there's software, packaging, support, marketing, ect.

The profit margin may be lower, but I think they have enough money in the bank to take a hit and still not effect the stability of the business.

The title of this thread implies that margins are higher for Apple with the Intel-based Macs while the article claims otherwise.

To my eyes it implies that I should be able to put my debit card into the iMac and withdraw funds from my current account. Check it out if you don't believe me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cash_machine.

Tomorrow perhaps a journalist will investigate whether the new iMac is a vacuum cleaner?

I thought the same thing initially, too so you weren't alone.
