Hi, i'm a switcher, new to mac,
anyway i just buy this game , Football Manager 2007 to be played on my MB.

and wondering is there anyway that i can play it without having the disc on my MB ?
cause from what i know it will make the battery drain faster and it's just inconvinience to do that so any work around on this ?
    thx.

is the disc spinning the whole time? I know for most games, the disc spins up when you start the game to check the cd key, but then it does not continue to spin during gameplay.

Put a disc into your drive and control click on it, and choose duplicate. It creates a CD images/copy onto your desktop.

Eject the real cd and try the game. :) If it works your rocking, if it doesnt your not :(

Roxio Toast makes disk images, but it ain't cheap.

However, I do not think your CD spinning while gaming will drain your battery a noticeable amount. But hey, what do I know?

Can you not eject the disc after it has loaded up? I'm sure one of the older versions used to allow this. It just used to ask for the disc to verify you had it and after that would work fine without the disc in the drive.
