iSight Basics..

I'm a bit new to this webcam stuff but I have a few basic questions. My family uses Yahoo Messenger every few weeks to get everyone together. We all have logitech cameras that are not the best.

In reading the iSight info it says that iChat is needed to run the camera. Does this take the place of Yahoo Messenger? Do I need to use iChat? Can I even use the iSight with Yahoo Messenger?

Any help appreciated.

I don't have one yet but, in other posts people have said it works with Apps other than iChat (but not iMovie or FCP).

I think you should be okay. My suggestion is if you can get to an Apple store, go in and test it out.
