We run 2 PCs on Win2000 at work, and i installed iTunes 5 on one cos i wanted QuickTime 7 to watch a movie off the Apple site, and since then the PC won't boot up!

Despite it saying on the apple download page that its compatible with Win2000, i read a few similar stories on the net where iTunes 5 has knackered up other Win2000 PCs when it replaces some files/driver to do with CD burning. (after the problem i had with mine)

It is possible to repair this error in safe mode, but for some reason the work PCs won't let u un-install progams in safe mode (WHY?!) so the PC is sat there dead at the moment.

I think its pretty bad that an Apple download has done this, not sure what we're gonna do to get the PC working again now without losing all the info & contacts etc on it.....

any ideas, thoughts??
