Here is what I am trying to do.
I have my music files on my Desktop PC.
I would like to have iTunes on my iBook use the music folder on my PC as the default iTunes folder for music. I also want to be able to sync my library to my iPod from my iBook. I also need to be able to sync another iPod (my wife's) on the PC.

I don't want to copy all the music to my iBook as the HD is too small. Will turning on sharing allow me to do this? I was under the impression that I could only listen to music using sharing.

please help.

Sorry, but shared music cannot be synced to the iPod. Can I recommend syncing your iPod with the PC too, albeit maybe only the selected playlists you want. That's assuming you really can't fit your music onto your iBook.
