i was syncing my ipod and it told me to restore my ipod for some reason. so i did it. itunes was showing me that it was syncing all 5000 of my songs and it takes about an hour to do so (which is reasonable), but when i eject my ipod, my physical ipod says i have no music on it and its completely empty.

i have tried restoring it and resyncing it multiple times, but it still turns out empty.
i have also tried to authorize my computer, and it keeps saying there is an error.
i have the latest updated itunes as well.

also, i noticed that when i go on itunes and click 'Liz's Ipod' on the left column, and the click Music or any of my playlists, the songs are all faded and don't play if i doubleclick them

please help!
