iTunes says iPad is an iPhone (2)

Hi,
Does anyone know what to do when iTunes says your iPad is an iPhone, please?
I'm completely stuck. It's an iPad mini with RD

Okay, so what you do is - you plug both your iPhone AND your iPad into your mac together.

iTunes thinks about it for a moment and then recatagorises the iPad as an iPad...

For there you can restore it and download all the Apps that had been stuck for over a month including Pages, and amazingly they all appear to function as they did before...
