Have a couple of questions about iTV

Is iTV a codename or will it be the product name?

Can you hold DVDs on the iTV?

Is it gunna be relesed at MacWorld?

    What exactly does iTV do?

    How much will it cost?

iTV is a codename, it will cost $299, it will probably be released at MWSF, and we don't really have much in the way of details.

we believe iTV will be able to act as a relay between a computer and a television, allowing a user to watch movies from his computer (downloaded through the iTS, of course) via a wireless connection on his or her television. i presume you'll also be able to record and pause/rewind live television (like a DVR or TiVO).

Nice idea, but iTV has no tuner in it.
However, what if they sold an external tuner for $100-200 that read ATSC/NTSC and encoded it to H.264 on the fly? THere are rumors that iTV will have a "small" internal hard drive. Well, now a days, small is 40GB. A 40GB Hard Drive could record 28.216 hours of SD 480p H.264 @ 3 mb/s or 6 hours of HD 1080i H.264 @14 mb/s.

This has yet to be confirmed whether or not iTV will have a tuner or the option to have a tuner.
