Description:: iWeb Optimizer converts .png images to .jpg without renaming them. iWeb Optimizer is an Automator workflow that allows you to Drag & Drop the folder published by iWeb onto the iWeb Optimizer Automator Workflow. It will then convert the .png images contained in the folder dropped on it into .jpg images without renaming them.

Oh great. Now we'll have websites sending JPEG files with a .png extension... not to mention what the file-type will actually be with such a mix-up... and how each and every browser/version will react to that mess.

Seems like a pretty silly action. Don't most modern browsers support png? I know the whole gif patent ran out or something so the reason fro png being invented was rendered mute but it is still just a better format.

I believe it's the file size that bugs most. I had 200 kb of images on multiple pages bloat to 1 MB.
