iPod touch Jailbreak procedures

Hi all,

I just bought me an iTouch and Mac. First time i buy apple stuff and to be honest, I shouldve done this years ago. Where can I get procedures to jailbreak the iTouch. I am a developer and would like a little more flexibility.

then it's not going to be that easy to jailbreak. Go to here:http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=172
there are a bunch of GUI's that you could use. There's one more thing I want you to do, READ EVERYTHING!! that comes with the GUI that you pick

It isn't too bad, I found a really good GUI thats as easy as pie.

Extract.
Run Setup
Run Unofficial GUI for redsn0w lite
Hit "Create custom firmware"
Hit "Select Factory Firmware"
Browse to the factory firmware (if you don't have it, download it here)
Hit "Generate Custom firmware"
Then, go back to the main screen
Hit "Jailbreak your iPod Touch 2G
Make sure your ipod is plugged in and hit "Start"
Hold the power AND home buttons until your computer makes a ding (about 8-10 seconds)
After the ding, let go of the power BUT KEEP HOLDING THE HOME
You will here another ding
Now your iPod touch is being jailbroken

If you want to boot it (since it will be tethered) just select "Boot my iPod Touch
