Hi

Java on PPC was pretty dire - horrible performance .

Whats the performance like on Intel Macs ( MBP ()under OSX? Has anyone tried the universal Eclipse?

Comments?

Thanks!

It kicks major ass, some apps run as if they were native cocoa applications. Eclipse feels and works great, you have to see to believe!!

(using MacBookPro 1.8 Ghz, 1.5 GB RAM)

So, by the sounds of it, Java performance on OSX is on par with Java on Windows. Eclipse runs very well on Windows...

Excellent. Now, if Apple would fix the crippling SWT - AWT plug that plagues Eclipse ( mostly plugins ) - its root cause is in OSX, and something the Eclipse developers will have to code around, but its taking them ages to find a solution.

For the life of me, I can't find an Eclipse version that will work under my MBP. Can you PLEASE provide a link?

Thanks.
