Judge orders release of protestors, fines New York City

    A New York judge not only has ordered the release of nearly 500 protesters, but has fined the city $1000 per protester for holding them past their ordered release time. :D

    wasn't the number of protesters arrested (1760) the highest number in history of those conventions ?
    i read about that today...

    (kidding)
    All the more reason for Bush and Co. to render the "troublesome" judiciary branch impotent. For safety.
