    Starting to sound like it. It sure would explain why Bush has wanted to keep this guy out of the legal system at all costs.

    i am still struck by the utter irony of bush getting on saddam for violating UN sanctions:

    1. saddam is judged (incorrectly, in cases) against sanctions to which he did not agree. his is on trial for his life.

    2. bush swore to uphold the constitution and the laws of the land, but bypasses them as he sees fit in order to maintain power for his party and maintain some illusion that he's a fit leader. he remains free and protected.

    wtf?

    There are quite a few ways where we've become just as bad as those we are fighting against. If not worse. Yet somehow it's patriotic to support such unAmerican things.
