1. Will PCs run MacOS X soon?

2. How long will Apple issue new versions of MacOS X for current computers?

I´m a bit worried if we who have new Macs will not be able to purchase 10.5, 10.6 and so on.

No. Apple is a hardware company first and formost. Hardware sales count for a significant portion of their revenue. And I imagine (if ever) it will be a very long time before Apple can take on Microsoft.

I cannot imagine that they would ditch their loyal userbase by releasing 10.5, 10.6 that won't work on their own hardware. 10.7.. well.. maybe by that time they'll draw the line.

Ok thanks! Your answers are very logical and credible. :)

I´m at least not going to buy a highend Powermac. Maybe a G4 based computer is a better buy now than it was only few days ago....
