    Hey everyone,

You might have seen from posts I've had in other threads that my macbook was sent aaway for repairs due to the random shutdown problem. Well, it was annoying that it took 3 weeks, but the computer sure is way better. No random shutdowns, and what surprised me most is how cool its running. On the invoice it showed a bunch of parts were replaced, although it was tough to decipher what the parts were. Anyway, with core duo temp when I sent it in the temeratures would frequently reach 150 F. The highest I have seen since getting it back is 120. A pretty darn big difference! I am very pleased with how much cooler it is running.

Maybe the shutdowns were related to the heat? I am not sure, but wanted to report what I found. At least when you get something back and its fixed and better than new you can be happy....even if it did take a bit too long :)

Excellent. Macs are meant to sleep when they get too hot, not shut down, but who's to say a buggy Mac won't shut down instead. I'm glad it's all working for you now. :)

30 deg. F is pretty significant. Glad it got fixed.
