Sweet shot! It's got that 'come any closer and I'll peck ya' face off' kinda look to it.

Umm, nice picture, but care to repost as a link? It's a wee bit too large as an inline image.

Great shot! How close (physically) were you to the hawk? Looks like he's eating some other bird judging by the dangling foot there....cool  :p

Yea, if you could shrink it down a bit that would be great so those with smaller monitors could fully see the photo all at once :)

Great picture, but not all of us have 24" monitors
Could you try resizing to longest side 640px next time.

Thanks for the link. You might try editing your first post to just have the link, or the 800px version, rather than the huge one that's there now.

    Good pic, by the way.

EXIF data is imbedded in the image file. You can see it using a variety of programs, photoshop, for instance (on both Macs and PCs).

With my Mac, using get info from the finder, I can get EXIF data also.

    Nice pic.

    Want to be humbled?

    Go here.

I always visit that forum when I'm feeling snooty about my talents (not saying you are, BTW.)

Here's an example. Tack sharp and perfectly exposed.

Yeah, that forum is definitely good for putting you in your place. Some real talent there.

Wow, that is close, and brave of you I might add! Must have been quite an experience getting that close to a hawk, especially while it's eating. Isn't it an andrenilian (sp?) rush when you keep getting a step closer to see how close the animal will allow you to get to it? :D

    Good job :)

    Yah, Thanks!

I actually scared me pretty bad, I was real close and it started flappng it's wings... I just about fell on my butt. Those talons look pretty sharp lol.

Yah, guy I am a complete novice. I would however like to get better!

That poor hunk of ex-animal...I know how it feels - one of those days you wish you'd just stayed in bed.

    It's all good man :)

I actually decreased brightness and that pic and upped the contrast...

I liked the look of the rich dark colors.
