What did you guys think about him performing? I love him but I could not BELIEVE that they had him performing there. I never imagined hearing f*** at an apple keynote. Especially when the dj stopped the music when the lyrics were at "f*** the police thats how we treat 'em".

I also liked how he changed the lyrics from:

She had hair so long that it looked like weave, then she cut it all off now she look like Eve

    to

She had hair so long that it looked like weave, then she cut it all off now she look like Steve.

George Bush doesn't care about black people, but STEVE DOES!

    *Kanye hugs Steve*

    Take a photo.
    Print the advert.
    Done.

Kanye West is one of the most amazing things to happen to hip-hop in the past several years.

Anyone get his new album yet? I haven't ... I need to pick up a copy.

Ha ha, well he's already got the Mac crowd. Advertise he's CEO of Pixar and you've got a good portion of the parental/Disney crowd too. :D

Yeah, the audience he was performing to was not what I would consider his primary listenership. Plus, it isn't music and it sucks. (I know... just an opinion.) And thanks for the PG-13ness.

    ^^It doesn't suck at all.

Yeah I've got a copy. Actually, I downloaded it, but I was under the impression that the album itself wasn't out yet.

Or maybe it is in the US, but not in Oz.

He is performance aside, that was not what would ever expect from Apple.
Kanye West's lyriks where anapropriate for the even. I am sure Steve or any one else in Apple has heard his liriks, just how did they allowed for that performace. The croud in that event didn't care for his performance and for sure wasn't in their taste, as I havn't see a jurnalists go "Yo, Yo, wut up dude?"

ahh what is going on at Apple now days?!

You mean from iTMS? Did you get it pre-order? Wasn't there some promise of some freebie remix or something with the pre-order? I probably should've. :(

Ahhhh, *sigh* I think I will listen to Family Business from Dropout while I wait. :)

I agree. I don't think it was appropriate for him to be performing at a keynote. Just not the right audience.

I've never heard myself say "Yo, Yo, wut up dude?" either, and yet I still like Kanye West. And you can't assume peoples musical tastes just because of their job or race. Computer people and reporters could have enjoyed the music as well. You can't say that they didn't with any certainty. I enjoy all sorts of music, and I'm sure many other people do as well.

No, I downloaded it from somewhere else.

I also think he sucks. Not only that, but he has an ego problem. Nothing pisses me off more than artists bitc*ing on TV because they lost to maroon 5 (kanye did that) and how he is so much better and he should have one and other crap.

Maroon 5 sucks, though. Its so boring. Not on the same level as Keane, but still quite a snoozer.

Funny thing is that Kanye is a Maroon 5 fan, and has the lead singer from Maroon 5 on the 2nd track of his new album, Late Registration. Good song, too. :)

Actually, Profilers can say a lot about you just by looking where you work and what you do.
Let me clarify that a bit more, as I have failed to do that before.
Keynote is not a place for such lyrics/word to spoken/said by any one. THis is a place where people are serious about what they are doing and what is going on. After watching the whole keynote and then at the to see Kanye West was a big change in the whole mood in the room. Just take a look at the audience that was there, they all where stuned.

P.S. my ost about Kanye West is bais, and is because i don't like hiphop/rap. Not because of artisits but because of the lyrics and that whole "gangster" attitude.

I think maroon 5 is OK, not the best, but good.

SO he's a big fan of them, but bitc*es about them when they beat him. Damn. Now I really don't like him. childish of him.

I think that if you don't like Kanye West because he's got a "gangster" attitude, then you haven't really listened to anything he says in his songs.
