I have edited them in iMovie and exported to iDVD 4.0
However when I try to burn DVD it goes through the first two stage sand then stays on Stage 3: Asset Encoding
I had to cancel the first one and the DVD-R was unusable afterwards
Now I have another just whirring around going nowhere

Asset Encoding can take a long time. How long did you let it go before?

Also, I used ot have that problem when I was burning to a DVD Burner that was added to the machine (i.e. not an actual SuperDrive). The solution was to uncheck the 'put drives to sleep' option in the Energy Saver Preference Pane.

Not sure if that applies to you, but thought I would put it out there.

Thanks

Hi
Thanks for posting that
You're right it did eventually go through after about 4 hours or more- luckily I just left it
It is a superdrive in my iMac G4 so that shouldn't be a problem
I really don't understand why it takes so long
I will disable the auto shut down anyway
Thanks again
Merry Xmas!
